Who is Hungry in Florida?

According to US Census data, Florida 's population has grown 19.5% while the number of people in poverty has grown 43% in the past decade. Many of Florida 's children go to bed hungry at night, even in the most affluent counties of Florida . Hunger remains a serious problem for a sizable number of Floridians.

The number of families in need of help with basic food in Florida continues to grow. The fastest growing segment of families in need are the ones that have at least one family member working, and in some cases, working more than one job. There are varying degrees of poverty.

ABOUT PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE
Chabad of the Space Coast is built on the foundation that we are all responsible for each other.  Chabad of the Space Coast has been serving people caught in poverty for more than eighteen years and we are commited to the less fortunate of our communities.

CHABAD OF THE SPACE COAST IS COMMITTED TO ASSISTING EVERY INDIVIDUAL IN OUR COMMUNITY, REGARDLESS OF RACE, RELIGION OR COLOR, WHO IS NEEDY FOR FOOD OR EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE, 24/7, 365 DAYS A YEAR.  WE KEEP EVERY CASE COMPLETELY CONFIDENTIAL SO AS NOT TO EMBARRASS ANYONE OR DISCOURAGE REQUESTS FOR HELP.

HELPING PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE ALL ABOUT MAKING MONEY BUT ABOUT HELPING THEM TO GET BACK ON THEIR FEET AND BECOMING PRODUCTIVE CITIZENS OF THEIR COMMUNITIES.

"Please Be a Part of The Solution, Help Us Help Others!"

Each week Chabad of the Space Coast receives countless requests for assistance and we are doing as much as we possibly can considering our limited funding.  We would hate to turn anyone down because of a lack of money.
