At Chabad Hebrew School we have spent hours designing a Hebrew School program that will cater to all of our students, no matter the situation for the upcoming school year.  The program is titled   Bringing it Home: Making Judaism come alive through experiential and interactive learning.

Chabad Hebrew School is prepared for two tracks:

  1. In-Person Hebrew School:
Engaging classes following social distancing government guidelines.
Beginning Sunday, September 13th at 10am.
  2. Virtual Hebrew Reading Program:
    Hebrew reading enrichment class.

Due to the small size of our Hebrew School and all the precautions we are taking ,we plan to remain open in person throughout the year. In the event a student or teacher is exposed to Covid-19 we will revert to online learning for the two week quarantine period.

Bringing it Home  has been developed to ensure that the content is both developmentally appropriate and kid-friendly.   Our curriculum has been designed to be taught through a diverse set of mediums, including drama, construction, STEM, and stop-motion animation. The curriculum comprises seven units, focusing on lessons that are learned from each room of the home. The subjects will come alive as students learn about the Jewish holidays, empathy, respect and integrity amongst other life skills and Jewish values while exploring each room of their house.

In addition we will be using the Aleph Champ program to give our students strong Hebrew reading skills.
