Moshiach & The Future Redemption

Why do you bother getting out of bed in the morning?

What does the word 'Moshiach' mean? When will Moshiach come? What exactly will happen when Moshiach comes?

Is it true that he shall suddenly appear on a main street in Jerusalem, a poor old man spewing forth wisdom and declaring the time of redemption has arrived? If so, why will they not lock him up?

You're always talking about how the world is ready and prepared for the Age of Moshiach. I don't see it. It looks like a pretty awful world to me...

Here's one I always wanted to know: What if you're living in Jerusalem? Do you say the prayer/wish, "Next year in Jerusalem!", or just leave that line out?
